Welcome to my website.

I am an award winning freelance photographer and writer based in the Solent area of Southern England.

My interest in photography began as an 8 year old boy when receiving my first ever camera, a Kodak Ektra 110. My first SLR was a Zenith, which gave me a great education into the art of photography.

In 1987 I purchased my first Canon Camera, a T70. A T90 followed, and I have been loyal to the brand. I currently use high end EOS's with a selection of Canon L series lenses.

I have covered many events in the Port of Southampton with my work appearing in the Daily Echo, Lloyds List, Daily Telegraph, Sailing Today, P&O Cruises Peninsular Magazine, Hapag Lloyd News, and other publications.

I've been proud to cover two Royal naming ceremonies,"Royal Princess" by the Duchess of Cambridge and "Britannia" by Her Majesty the Queen".

I have undertaken work for Associated British Ports, DP World Southampton,Wightlink, Hapag Lloyd, OOCL, NYK, Höegh, CMA CGM, APL, Maersk Line, Southampton City Council, Denholm Wilhemsen, P&O Cruises, Liebherr RS Divers, Solent Local Enterprise Partnership, Red Funnel and Svitzer Towage.

My photos have also appeared in many books, including Carol Thatcher's tribute to the QE2, the offical book by Saga Cruises celebrating the Saga Rose and Saga Ruby and Chris Frame's history of the QM2.

I helped ABP in Southampton celebrate their 175th anniversary with a large number of my photographs featuring in a celebratory hardback book given to their customers.

My book writing started in 2009 with my first joint project with Sharon Poole titled "Artemis - the First Royal Princess". It was so well received, every passenger on the last cruise was given a copy. This then led to us winning the commission for the official book celebrating P&O Cruises 175 years of heritage in their anniversary year.

Further titles followed, "Oriana & Aurora - Taking UK Cruising into a new Millennum", "A year in the life of the P&O Cruises fleet", and most recently, "A year in the life of the Cunard fleet".

All titles are available both in good UK bookshops and online via Amazon.

My work is also to be seen locally, with "The Frame Shop" in Hythe offering framed photos.
